- App Metadata (Premium Users Only): Tag assignments and bookmark references keyed by chat ID, used solely for cross-device sync. This never includes your actual chat content.
2. What We Do NOT Collect
- Chat Content: All your conversations remain in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB). We never access, transmit, or store your chat messages on our servers.
- Browsing History or Keystrokes: We do not monitor or collect any browsing activity, keystrokes, or ChatGPT account data beyond what you explicitly tag or bookmark.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Email: Account creation, magic link login, and essential account communications.
- App Metadata (Premium Only): Syncing your tags and bookmarks across devices.
- Payment: Processed entirely by Paddle to manage your subscription.
4. Data Storage & Security
- Free Tier: 100% local. No data leaves your browser. Tags, bookmarks, folders, notes, and prompt templates are stored in IndexedDB on your device.
- Premium Tier: App metadata (tags and bookmarks) is synced to our cloud backend and encrypted in transit. Your chat content is never included.
- Authentication: Handled via JWT with short-lived access tokens and secure refresh tokens.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate EzFindChat:
- Firebase (Google Cloud): Cloud metadata storage for Premium users.
- Supabase: Backend infrastructure for Premium user data.
- SendGrid: Sending magic link authentication emails.
- Google OAuth: Optional sign-in method.
- Paddle: Payment and subscription processing.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@ezfindchat.com.
