1. Information We Collect
- Email Address: Collected during sign-in and account use for Google authentication, account recovery, support, and essential account communications.
- Payment Information: Processed by Paddle, our payment provider. We do not store raw payment card details on our servers.
- Sync Data (Premium Users Only): Tags, chat-to-tag assignments, and bookmark entries keyed by chat ID. Synced bookmark entries can include bookmark text, optional context, and timestamps.
- Subscription Metadata: Plan, license type, subscription status, renewal period, and provider reference IDs needed to power premium access and billing support.
- Bug Reports and Support Data: Report title, description, optional reproduction steps, supplied or signed-in email, browser user agent, timestamps, and operational support metadata.
2. What We Do NOT Collect
- Full Chat Transcripts: Your conversations remain in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB). We do not sync or store full chat transcripts on our servers.
- Browsing History or Keystrokes: We do not monitor or collect general browsing history, keystrokes, or unrelated website activity.
- Raw Payment Card Data: Payment details are handled by Paddle, not stored by EzFind.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Email: Account creation, Google sign-in, premium access, billing support, and essential service communications.
- Sync Data: Syncing tags, chat-to-tag assignments, and bookmark entries across devices for premium users.
- Subscription Metadata: Managing premium access, renewals, cancellations, and billing support.
- Bug Reports: Investigating, reproducing, and resolving support issues you send us.
4. Data Storage & Security
- Local Storage: Chat content and local extension data are stored in IndexedDB on your device. Full chat transcripts do not leave your browser.
- Premium Sync: Sync data such as tags, chat-to-tag assignments, and bookmark entries is stored in our cloud backend and encrypted in transit. Full chat transcripts are never included.
- Authentication: Handled via JWT with short-lived access tokens and secure refresh tokens.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate EzFind:
- Cloud Backend: Secure storage and processing for synced metadata, account state, and support operations.
- Google OAuth: Sign-in and identity verification.
- Paddle: Payment and subscription processing.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active and as needed to operate premium access, billing support, and required records. You can request deletion of your EzFind cloud data at any time from our Delete Data page.
Deleting EzFind cloud data does not delete your ChatGPT or Gemini conversations from OpenAI or Google, and does not automatically remove payment records maintained by Paddle under its legal and operational retention obligations.
7. Children's Privacy
EzFind is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email address below.
